About the Program

The program trains experts in the field of Uzbek philology. Students study the history and theory of the language, immerse themselves in the world of classical and modern Uzbek literature, and become familiar with masterpieces of world literature. Special attention is given to the pedagogical component: you will master the most effective teaching methods, the basics of psychology, and learn how to build a productive dialogue with students.

Curriculum

  • Linguistics: Modern Uzbek Literary Language, Introduction to Linguistics, History of Language, Dialectology.
  • Literary Studies: History of Uzbek Literature, Theory of Literature, World Literature, Literary Criticism.
  • Pedagogical Skills: Pedagogy and Psychology, Methods of Teaching Language and Literature, Art of Oratory.
  • Practical and Related Disciplines: Latin Language, Information Technologies in Philology, Editing.

Internship and Experience

Students undergo mandatory teaching internships in schools, academic lyceums, and colleges, where they apply their knowledge and refine their teaching skills. Graduates of the program can build a career as: A teacher of the Uzbek language and literature; An editor or proofreader in publishing houses, magazines, and online media; A copywriter or content manager; A specialist in archives, museums, and cultural centers.
